So this past Saturday, I made it a point to try and find a new thrift store. I had seen it listed on Craigslist and thought it was worth a venture.
The Giving Tree Consignment Boutique is located in Port Wentworth, but is really just a couple miles down 21 from Rincon. That made it so quick for me to hop over after my stop at Twinkle Twinkle Little Shop. When we arrived, we were the only customers in the store, in part because I believe not enough people know that the store is there.
The Giving Tree hand picks what they consign. All items are in excellent shape, and they only sell name brands. That said, most items were around $2 to $10 for kids clothes. I did manage to find two nice outfits for my son, one of which we used for his photo session on Sunday. I spent about $7, and they even entertained my little one while I shopped.
In addition to baby clothes, they have adult clothes and even formal dresses. There are also plenty of toys and several infant swings, all I felt were reasonably priced. I did notice that there were a lot more girls clothes than boys available, and there were not that many in my son’s size (6 to 9 months) as at Twinkle Twinkle. But, I was satisfied enough with the shopping experience that I will go back again.

Port Wentworth, GA 31407
Open Tues-Sat, 10:30 am to 6:00 pm
As a side note, I am very sad to officially take Tiny Treasures off my “approved” list. This past Saturday marked the 7th time since the beginning of December that I went by to shop during their posted hours and they were not open. They were supposed to open at 12:30 pm, however, by 2:15, still no sign. I saw a couple of notes left in their door, so I assume I am not the only one disappointed in poor business practices. Their location is simply too far out of my way just to see if they want to be open or not. Seems to be run more as a hobby than a business.
