This past January, I received some news that I never expected: I was going to become a mommy! While I was in shock, I immediately turned into task manager mode, trying to figure out what I needed to be able to prepare for this new arrival. Like most families, we live on a tight budget, so we weren’t going to be buying anything extravagant, and probably very little brand-new. My sweetheart and I have always been comfortable with second-hand furniture, saving it from the dumpsters while saving our money. It was only right that we get our son off to the same start.
The hopes with this page is to share useful information with you all as I have my other friends who started the paths to mommyhood this year. I welcome suggestions and feedback, and hope to see some discussion going on in our message board.
